Shrink Wrapping Services Update

Then it was on to Southern, Md to complete Military Remote Radar Shelters for the L-3 Communications Company. The last trip being a grueling 7 units in one day. At least we had the weather on our side. It was only 96 Degrees with high humidity. Each unit had to be lifted and wrapped 360 degrees as to many of our jobs. Total protection, that’s what were after.
Baltimore, Md brought new challenges and old ones, working for another DoD contractor it was business as usual on nuclear submarine parts being shrink wrapped for transport and long term storage. However the new challenge was a ¼ scale marine ramp that was positioned atop a sea container to get it out of the way. It was especially difficult to do because of the height and the blowing wind didn’t help. We managed to get the first piece on in the morning and the main body covered in the afternoon. But we still had to wait until evening for the winds to die before we could shrink it down tight. We were very happy with the final product.
Just wish we could go back and paint it. We think it would look great with some eyes, a mouth and maybe some wings painted on. It already looks like a dragon, why not finish it off.
